Bensedin 10mg tablets contain diazepam, a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety disorders, muscle spasms, seizures, and symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. It works by enhancing the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that calms the nervous system.

Uses:

• Management of anxiety disorders
• Relief of muscle spasms
• Control of seizures
• Alleviation of alcohol withdrawal symptoms

Dosage:

• For anxiety: 2 mg taken three times daily, which may be increased to 5–10 mg three times daily.
• For sleep disturbances related to anxiety: 5–15 mg taken once at bedtime.
• For muscle spasms: 2–15 mg daily, divided into 1–3 doses, with a maximum of 20 mg taken three times daily if necessary.
